i just saw gogol bordello live at the culture room. i dont care who youve seen live and how great they played, this band was better.i got there with my friend like an hour early and after waiting that whole hour they finally let us in, i ofcoarse go to the front of the stage, just because im tall doesnt mean i have an obligation to be at the back. so anyway, while were waiting there showing david bowie clips with no sound instead we had a god awful dj who was terribly annoying.

than 15 minutes before the shows to beginning, the show...begins, the opening band comes out (dusty roads and the river band). now i had known nothing of this band prior to this but i was just so immensely happy the dj wasnt playing, than, guess what! they were good, really good, they were making it really hard to follow them...but than after a half an hour and they were done we had to listen to a dj for another hour, than when we couldnt take it any more gogol bordello came out, it was like we were all little kindling and than this spark came out and lit the flam, it was electric high energy and by the fith song i was exhausted but still going, at the end i couldnt move anything without it hurting, except my hands, but of coarse eager fans and the band put a stop to that, they forced me to clap, they would do something amazing and than my hads would be numb. than ANOTHER AMAZING SONG, hands still numb. than after an hour and a half of electricity, they reach out to the crowed and exit stage (i clenched every member of the bands hand but the bassists.

but than...there was an encore. i couldnt stand let alone head bang and pogo, and push back the moshers, but i did, i went into sixth gear, stretching myself thin...all while listening to the most amazing band ive ever heard live. we all made it to the end, the band not showing any sighns of tear, i was though. even know i cant get the ring out of my ears and my legs are dead...but im so very glad i went and stayed, its like we all kept eachother going, the band to the fans, noone quit...and of coars if you see no ones energy drop yoiu cant drop yours either.

so thats it, my favorite night in awhile..
